2011 15 inch MacBook Pro no display out

I recently installed parrot os on my MacBook Pro as a main os and when I try to attach a second monitor it registers a display there but won’t actually send out a signal.

What version of Parrot are you running?
Release 3.11
kernel Linux 4.13.0-parrot4-amd64 x86_64

What method did you use to install Parrot? Debian Standard

Configured to multiboot with other systems? no

**If there are any error messages or relevant logs, post them below:**not that I can find

It is just the Apple thunderbolt display out cable and It is also not working with the thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter ether

It wouldn’t work with a dell p1911
