accessing Parrot repositories through onion (Tor)

Hello. First off, I’m new to this forum so I apologize if I am posting this in he wrong location or in the wrong format. I did do several searches first on google and within he forum itself and did not find an answer.

I was accessing the parrot repositories (to install new applications and to update my system) through onion routing since I started using Parrot (approximately a year ago). It stopped working approximately a few weeks ago. I now get the 404 forbidden error. By the way, it works fine if I access the repositories normally.

Is this an oversight by the Parrot maintainers or is accessing the repositories via onion routing specifically banned now deliberately? If the maintainers do not want us accessing the repositories via onion routing, might I ask why? (Debian allows it)

Thank you very much for your time.

P.S. I suspect someone will want to know how I’m accessing the repositoriest. Either through a sudo torsocks apt update or sudo apt update (respectively).

Hey farratto!
I need help. torsocks apt update is not working for me. Can you tell me how you upgrade system via tor/anonsurf. I found 1 method: to manually edit repo list. Hope your method is more efficient

The problem does not happen to me. Does this still happen for you and what mirrors do you use?
And please be a bit more descriptive. Tell us exactly what the errors are. Also what does your sources.list.d/parrot.list look like?
