@Nico_Paul (attention here plz)

Ok can you send image
I will try to fix
No video mean Not starting Just blank black screen right
If you currently not able to boot from p20

You can boot from old kernel
By going more option /parrot10
in grub

Yes blank screen after p20 is selected but p10 is fine. Here is a photo of p10

ok I need a little bit to do some deeper research but at first glance I want to say it may be a typo in the ahci=0 command. Im able to boot with baremetal ahci0 and ahci=0 can OP post image of p20 kernel that will not boot like the p10? with both scenarios both booting and not Im not sure what exactly is going on until i have time to look into this further

P10 is ok
P20 not working is only depends on hardware
Can you try this to add in p20 in edit mode
acpi=off
nohotplug
nopcmcia
noagp
After it press F10

This is my first time editing grub, i added them but they where not found, where do i add them and what arguments do i need? it says it couldn’t find them as it booted.

Here is the p20 grub image
Google Photos

At end of
Linux line

Did this and still a blank screen, i feel it may have something to do with xorg or video drivers as my hdd looks like its still running something yet can’t display it.

No in 20kernel it’s error
You can use p10 for nowđź‘Ź

alright, do you need hardware or is it just a kernal error in its self?

I not fully figure out
But currently as i see kernel
It’s fully depending on hardware
Wait i wiil send you my p20 kernel tomorrow
You can try that

This error is comes from main source
Not only in parrot , also in kali , slax 9 , debai latest
Etc

Ah alright, let me know if there is anything you need.

Can you plz give your hardware classification
I will send you tomorrow

Just for creating custom perfect for yoy

want it from lpci?
Edit: added Hardware

Do you use i386? There is a bug that is preventing the new kernel from booting on old hardware like core2duo etc. This is the problem and there isnt too much we can do on parrots end except apply the fix @amzker worked out

I have tried to do this but ever time i try 32-bit (i386) im always stuck at the “Mount and Read CD ROM” option, no matter what i have tried,

I’m sorry I missed the 64 bit in your chart, this is not that then. Did you install the nvidia drivers or rather a better question would be what’s your gpu situation? Let’s start there

I am running Intel.

@Amzker stop telling everyone to delete their kernel! what type of intel gpu? i would reinstall just to ensure no mistakes. Editing your grub line by hand is always frowned on due to the possibilities of messing it up really bad.
