Hey all,
Does anyone know how to configure audio in Parrot OS. Everything works fluidly except the audio.
I am using the current MAcBook Pro with touch bar. I want to use the headphone jack. I don’t mind the speakers not working but I would appreciate it if there is a way to get the headphone jack working,
I did try using pulseaudio and this shows up
$pulseaudio
E: [pulseaudio] pid.c: Daemon already running.
E: [pulseaudio] main.c: pa_pid_file_create() failed.
I am not sure how to proceed…I tried other methods shown online and none seem to work.
P.s: Bluetooth audio does work but I’d prefer to use the headphone jack.
try typing this in the terminal:
speaker-test
then pressing return. Static should come out of your speakers and / or headphones.

I tried using speaker-test and no static sound came out of it.
I did find what sort of audio chips my mac is using:
Audio device: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-H HD Audio (rev 31)
Subsystem: Intel Corporation 100 Series/C230 Series Chipset Family HD Audio Controller
Kernel driver in use: snd_hda_intel
Kernel modules: snd_hda_intel
Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Baffin HDMI/DP Audio [Radeon RX 550 640SP / RX 560/560X]
Subsystem: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Baffin HDMI/DP Audio [Radeon RX 550 640SP / RX 560/560X]
Kernel driver in use: snd_hda_intel

I did check in the ‘Sound’ settings and this is what I see…
I can’t change from ‘off’ to ‘on’ as there is no option to choose from
