Bitmask VPN fails to make connection

Hello guys,

Could you please assist me in running the Bitmask VPN application on Parrot OS. I installed it following the debian instructions from

I successfully open the program and log in my Rise up servers account but when I click Turn on the VPN, it constantly reconnects and fails to make connection.

When I run the program from the terminal as normal user, I receive below log when I try to Turn on the VPN connection:

I also tried to login as root in the terminal and to run the program as root - it doesnt open at all and I receive the below errors:

What version of Parrot are you running? Parrot Security, latest updated version

What method did you use to install Parrot? Debian Standard
