Black screen at login after update

Briefly describe your issue below:

I am getting the grub menu for dual boot (Win 7) but after the update , i am able to choose Parrot OS at boot but it gets stuck at login with a black screen (blinking cursor ). Tried googling and applying other’s solution but no avail. Please suggest help .
What version of Parrot are you running? (include version (e.g. 4.6), edition(e.g. Home//KDE/OVA, etc.), and architecture (currently we only support amd64)

Parrot/GNU Linux 4.6 mate
Architecture: x86-64

What method did you use to install Parrot? (Debian Standard / Debian GTK / parrot-experimental)
Debian Standard

Configured to multiboot with other systems? (yes / no)

yes. (with win 7)

I am having the same issue. I hope some one come up with a fix soon I installed on my whole siystem to use as daily driver and am afraid to do updates now.

any idea what can be done now? or like rolling back the update i had done? i have googled some stuffs and came to conclusion that it is somewhat related to graphic drivers (not sure tho).
but there isnt proper official guided soution for this and i have no idea which solution to pick and where to start. do let me know if you had any progress.
