can i delete this file? is it safe?

(Alyssa Woodley) #1

after doing apt full-upgrade there is 8 files on /boot/
usually its only have 4 files.
there is config,initrd.img,,vmlinuz
for 4.18.0-parrot10-amd64 and 4.18.0-parrot20-amd64
when i check the date, the parrot20 is obviously the new one.

since i have OCD, can i delete the parrot10 files?

hey, I wouldn’t advise you to erase the parrot10 Kernel, as this may be very convenient to use in case of kernel panic in parrot20, driver issues / incompatibility or the whole plethora of issues a PC can develop due to us users being clumsy or reckless hehe
Just to point; you can boot parrot10 kernel in grub checking advanced boot options.
