Cant boot in to Parrot OS

Hi,

I am trying to get Parrot OS working on my laptop (dual boot) but can’t get it to work.
Here some quick info on what I have down and what is happening.

Mounted Parrot Security MATE ISO with BalenaEtcher on to USB
Booted from USB (had to disable secure boot)
Installed parrot os using live mode to SSD (1tb SSD hooked up to laptop using SATA to USB 3 adapter)
After the install is successful and the laptop reboots I get this message on a black screen

Then the system boots back into windows 10

When I reboot again, it goes straight to windows and no error message and no GRUB or any screen to select boot drives.

When going into the BIOS to change the Boot priority, there is no parrot os or partition/drive to select.

The Laptop is an MSI laptop with intel i7 and GeForce GTX 1060 and 16gb ram.

My next attempt is going to be an installation on my internal SSD. I prefer using the external as I can keep it portable and my smaller internal SSD is full but might just free up some space and create a new partition and see if that works.
