Can't use qbittorrent or transmission

I cannot get qbittorrent or transmission to work at all

I’m on a 1 week old fresh install of ParrotOS.

When selecting qbittorrent from the Applications menu, absolutely nothing happens. When trying to run from terminal, it appears that it’s working, but no window actually appears… I still have to ctrl-c to stop it, though. It does show some gtk warnings, though – I pasted them at the end just in case they are relevant

I installed transmission to see if I could have better luck. Transmission opens, but appears kind of “locked out” of my computer… it can’t see any folders anywhere, and seems to be unable to actually write to the harddrive. Unsure if this a related issue or not, but I would guess it’s some kind of sandboxing

did you install any custom themes often?
seems it’s kinda problem with the theme that you have…
try the default theme. may be that could help.

Yeah, but this is just the default install. I haven’t really changed anything

Same problem except I installed cava from a git-hub manual install… cava is a terminal equalizer… Hmm Still Transmission works… Just qbittorent doesn’t want to work…

Thanks!

LOL! KDE install from flatpak… 339 mb… didn’t like to the apps in Mate ParrotOs.

I wouldn’t reccommend this solution again…

Also edits which apps I should use and then refers to flatpak…

This is a very bad idea… Will Never do this again…

Two thumbs down…

The whole flatpak is poor solution for anyone… Not willing to play to see if all apps are KDE x86-64bit apps…

flatpak then tries to act like a solution to all options installed in gui packmanager… Well have to install parrotOS again. Atleast this is just a virtual box… Lucky I can run bash scripits to install apps again…
