I’m not an advanced user and I don’t know if I only need a home version or no?
Depends if you think you will use the tools provided by the security edition. You could always just install the home version, then install tools individually as and when you need them.
I am only interested in my own safety and not in “hacking” others. And I don’t know if this “machine” is for me

its fine cause stable, up2date and secured with firejail and other stuff!
and if you need more:
sudo apt install parrot-...
see all the stuff with:
apt search parrot
