I’m not an advanced user and I don’t know if I only need a home version or no?
Depends if you think you will use the tools provided by the security edition. You could always just install the home version, then install tools individually as and when you need them.
I am only interested in my own safety and not in “hacking” others. And I don’t know if this “machine” is for me
get the home version. I’m not focused on hacking and I love it. As with all things linux/unix you do have to enjoy being a problem solver though.

and if you need more:
sudo apt install parrot-...
see all the stuff with:
apt search parrot
