I have a couple general questions that are probably better suited to the community board, but it takes 48+ hours just to get anything approved for posting and I’m trying to get the install right. This is attempt #3, which I suspect I’ll have to redo. I’ll get to it:
#1: If encryption was skipped, due to volume group name conflicts that I didn’t know how to resolve, what are the possible consequences? I don’t keep sensitive information on this machine, other than basic login info and whatnot. No government or industrial secrets. Will this create any problems in any programs? Should I just definitely re-install and encrypt?
#2: I understand the necessity of encouraging users to be mostly self-sufficient regarding their computer problems, but learning the hard way (as things go wrong) without pretty constant tech support is both time consuming and frustrating. Can you recommend a support source for linux in general that caters a bit to new users? I’d even consider a subscription service, within reason.
I apologize for this breach in protocol, but it’s tough to sort out good advice from bad on Google without good working knowledge, which I don’t have, and I’ve been trying to get things ironed out with Linux and Parrot for almost a week now. Thank you for your assistance.
