Well, Devuan is a fork of Debian without systemd.
Devuan stable version was released in 2017 and comes with XFCE dde. It has its own package repository but uses same package manager, APT, as like the Debian.
Devuan just works on basis of “Do one job, do it well.”
However on Debian, daemons start parallelly resulting in faster boot up and other processes.

Thx for the explanation. I am well informed about the difference between this distros.

My interest is to know how the plan/timing is for parrot os with devuan base migration.

I am not big fan of systemd but my concern is that the devuan community is to small and maybe bugs would be fixed slowly. There are also issues like that https://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?id=3331 which sounds not so nice.

Best regards

I think, Parrot OS will stick to Debian not Devuan. Maybe developers know what to do. Haha.
