Help for TP-Link AC1300 Archer T4U Wi-Fi adapter

Trying to find and install driver for TP-Link AC1300 Archer T4U Wi-Fi adapter. I have tried multiple github aswell as the TP-Link drivers (think these only work for 4.4 and older?). Nothing seems to work. I’m on version 4.7. Any help would be amazing.

First, we need to know the chipset, whether a Linux driver exists and what it’s capabilities are. If the device is supported at all and as you say it requires a kernel newer the 4.4 I don’t there’s really no GitHub repo that has it. Always search by the chipset the model name is just a bunch of useless letters, the seller name it anything they want.

have a look at the backside on your usb stick. After the serial Number.

For HW Version V1 + V2 chipset rlt8812au

apt update

apt install realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms

For HW Version V3 chipset rlt8812bu

Im not sure what the command is for this one but theres a git repo for this at

Basickly you need to know which of these 3 it is

[rtl8822bu ] [ rtl88x2bu ] [ rtl8812bu ]
