Icons only in taskbar

I would like to set my taskbar, to show only the icon of the opened application. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Hi! I am very sorry for my lately reply. Currently we are having Mate Desktop edition and KDE edition. For MATE DE, I afraid default taskbar doesn’t support this feature (like windows). However, you can try DockApplet

p/s: this url uses add repository method which is not recommended in Parrot OS. You can try other way, like install from deb file
