Installing Parrot on External Hard Drive

I got a new lap top(Lenovo x1 carbon gen 7) and am looking for some help moving to Parrot.

I am a web developer using windows 10.

I have flashed a 32gb USB 3.0 thumb-drive with the latest ISO and have been using it with encrypted persistence utilizing a second partition on the Flash-Drive itself, but am looking to update, upgrade and install all my packages permanently without affecting the OEM License.

I happen to have a 1tb external drive I would love to re-purpose into my full Parrot OS and run it on my machine.

So is it possible to create a full bootable Parrot Install on my external hard drive without affecting the Windows OS or Licensing?

If so how would I go about doing so?
