How to login as root user parrot seccurity (v4.9.1)
well they have removed that feature, only works in terminal after logging as a user
you can try this
when you log in on a user account
open tty terminal using ctrl+alt+f6 (to revert back ctlr + alt +f7) then login as root
and then start the xorg display using
this might work
First open a terminal and type su then your root password that you created when installing.
Stay in root terminal and type “pluma /etc/lightdm/daemon.conf”. This command opens the file “daemon.conf” in pluma. Under security type “AllowRoot=true”. So your security section in the file should look like this:[security]AllowRoot=trueOnce it looks like this save the file then exit the window.
Stay in root terminal and type “pluma /etc/pam.d/lightdm-password”. This command opens the file “lightdm-password” in pluma. Within this file you have comment out the line containing “auth required pam_succeed_if.so user != root quiet_success” so that it looks like this#auth required pam_succeed_if.so user != root quiet_successSave the file and exit.
- you can choose any text editor like vim OR nano
- beware allowing root login comes with great security risk, loosing files OR even breaking the whole system not recomended by anyone.
