— Hello. I am getting a login loop. I have looked at other solutions, and tried taking ownership of X, (I do own it) restarting x server, and r.booting a couple times.
Parrot version in use(if you are not aware of it, open terminal and type cat /etc/os-release | grep VERSION):
5.0
Kernel version(if you are not aware of it, open terminal and type uname -r):
5.16.0-12parrot1-amd64
Logs/Terminal output(use pastebin or similar services):
I just had the same problem with the login loop. Then I opened the console with Strg + Alt + F1 (like you probably did) and I had to install a different desktop environment.
On my system Cinnamon was already installed so I installed Mate with sudo apt install tasksel-mate-desktop. In the next step I closed the console with Strg + Alt + F7 and chose the mate desktop enviroment and logged in successfully.
Because I tried it a few minutes ago I don’t know if I can log in with the cinnamon desktop but at least I can login somehow.
