Hi,
I just freshly installed Parrot with KDE Plasma. According public opinion, autologin should be configured through system setting => starting and stopping => sddm => extended => autologin
OR
in /etc/sddm.conf.
Both of which don’t work for me. In the settings, my session choice “Plasma” always gets reset to “Default Xsession”, and sddm.conf gets wiped (file size becomes zero).
I could also tamper with the files
/etc/sddm/wayland-session (script)
/etc/sddm/Xsession (script)
or with /etc/sddm.conf.d/kde_settings.conf (which has a [Autologin] section that seems to look right)
but in any case so far I’m always prompted to enter my password after (re)boot.
I’m a little puzzled with regards to how Parrot OS with SDDM and KDE Plasma seems to deal with the autologin feature and would appreciate a hint how to get this working.
