Newbie problem (2): howto make vls play smb address

Hi

I’ve defined in Dolphin some smb address to my NAS, so that a folder such as smb:/MyNAS/folder displays well in Dolphin’s pane. The player for all video (.mp4, .mkv, .avi etc) is set to vlc, which already opens well when I click a file on the NAS, but the playback never starts. What do I have to configure to make vlc play such address (from dolphin)?
