No Audio Input or Output Devices Found

Briefly describe your issue below:
I recently did a sudo parrot-upgrade. On the next restart, there was no audio at all. I have tried quite a few things and several restarts but nothing seems to work.

What version of Parrot are you running? (include version (e.g. 4.6), edition(e.g. Home//KDE/OVA, etc.), and architecture (currently we only support amd64)
Parrot 5.5.0 amd64 KDE

What method did you use to install Parrot? (Debian Standard / Debian GTK / parrot-experimental)
Debian Standard

Configured to multiboot with other systems? (yes / no)
Yes (Windows 10)

send back the output of
$ aplay -l and
$ lspci -knn (Audio device Section)

I’m having the same issue of headphones not working, I have Hyper X Cloud Revolvers. I can see them listed under ‘Sound Cards’ in Alsa (i have tried unmuting) although in audio settings only my hdmi and webcam are listed. Could anyone help?

Welcome to the ParrotOS Community :hugs:

sorry but your output does not have Onboard Audio Device info

Run : lspci -nnk | grep -i -A7 audio
then paste the output here

Thanks! I thought it fair to mention my headphones are plugged into the same rear panel as my webcam, which Parrot is using as my microphone.

Ah you have a PC i was expecting a laptop

I searched on my sources but could not find any solution. :slightly_frowning_face:
Maybe someone else could Help you.

Yeah I have been searching for hours now and no fix, it’s weird I can see the headphones in various checks but cannot select them to use as output/input. Thanks for your help anyway!!
