OpenVPN

Briefly describe your issue below:
Good Day,

I am running the latest version of Parrot and OpenVPN. With pervious versions of Parrot I was able to connect via openvpn (proxpn) without login issues. Since I have updated Parrot, I have not been able to connect to the VPN service. I have installed all versions of openVPN to assist with loading the configuration files, ran apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade.

Proxpn provides preconfigured ovpn files. Once imported via network manager it would be to adding username and password. At this point it would connect; however, this is no longer the case. I am pasting the syslog lines regarding openvpn in hopes with someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

hi, what is proxpn and how have you installed it in parrot?

You can just connect to the server file from the command line as long as your in that directory,
its just cd directory, sudo openvpn filename, user then pass, and just don’t close the terminal

Hello Palinuro,

ProXpn is a VPN provider. They provide VPN openvpn certs to be used by network-manager. Parrot comes with everything that is needed besides getting the openVPN installs.

Thanks Maybe for the suggestion. i will work on that.

It may it is proXPN that is having the issues and I need a new VPN provider.

I tried your recommendation and it works. I am clueless to why it does but it does.

Kudos for the idea.

foul.
