Parrot on Parallels virtual machine and installing Parallels Tools

*Greetings! I have installed Parrot version 5 on my Intel based Macbook Pro and am now trying to load tools without success. When I search the community here the only similar issues I’m finding are people saying when they load tools it broke the install, with no one providing any answers to that issue.
When I mount the Parallels Tools drive it locates it in my home directory. It won’t however let me run the installer. When I attempt to unmount the drive and remount it using the “mount -o exec” commands it can no longer find the drive. What am i missing?
Thank you.

Hello. In these cases it is better to use VirtualBox, but in the case of Parallels, if you try to start the installer from the terminal what happens?
