I have the same issue! Tried kill for Firefox and many other attempted fixes from Forum
Since last updates from 5.3 and had no success. Something pumps the CPU and it can be anything from a simple image in Firefox latest version and prior? Does not matter how many tabs are open or closed/sleeping.
Bit off topic the Widevine Module crashes all the time now as well and will not function even after all other modules and plugins disabled and removed! The DRM has been set on/off and makes no odds?
