I have a weird problem with the editor atom, the problem is really simple but I cannot find a solution to it.
Basically what happens is that whenever I try to open some folder from the “Place” section in the toolbar instead of opening the file explorer atom is launched.
I have tried to purge atom and also delete the .atom folder but the problem reappears when I reinstall atom.
I am running Parrot 4.5 with 4.19 kernel
Thanks to everyone
your issue isn’t with atom but caja and the folder itself which is redirecting the system to open atom. What does your journactl show?
I never touched anything in caja, anyway this is what happens when I select a folder from the desktop menu:
Mar 15 21:55:01 parrot CRON: pam_unix(cron:session): session opened for user root by (uid=0)
Mar 15 21:55:01 parrot CRON: (root) CMD (command -v debian-sa1 > /dev/null && debian-sa1 1 1)
Mar 15 21:55:01 parrot CRON: pam_unix(cron:session): session closed for user root
Mar 15 21:55:28 parrot wpa_supplicant: wlan0: RSC 0000000000060000 is likely bogus, using 0
Mar 15 21:55:28 parrot wpa_supplicant: wlan0: WPA: Group rekeying completed with 00:0c:f6:ce:e8:60 [GTK=CCMP]
This happens to all the listed folders besides the computer one
I am thinking firejail is blocking something
