I got this error when I inserted the ISO and set up UEFI to boot from flash drive:

Secure Boot Violation
Invalid Signature detected. Check secure Boot policy in setup

have you turned off secure boot from bios?

No I didn’t, but now I have switched off secure boot and the live usb works. Does secure boot always have to be switched off in order to install and operate Parrot?

For installation yes.
