Serial CAN and Module Support

Hello, I’m currently using a ms/hs OBD2 connector (EML 327 1.5v) to interact with my 2001 Dodge Dakota, I have configured my OBD to USB with slcand and linked it to ifconfig with ip link
(it’s the way the open garage’s “Car Hacker’s Handbook”) some of the links are dated so I can’t install all the modules that the book recommends I am on page 57 for any of the people out there that has read the book.

just prior to this message i was trying to interact with my trucks can bus using SocketCAN


you have can-utils installed right?
