Should I turn this bad laptop into a Parrot machine?

I have a laptop with
1.1 ghz prossessor
4gb ram…can be upgraded to 8gb
and a hell of 1TB hdd
The question is can I run Parrot OS Security on it using Virtual Box or something?
Or do I need to install it as a primary OS? I have no problem with that since I barely use it for anything other than coding or pentesting related things.

I’d recommend you to try more lightweight distribution. If you still want to try Parrot, you can try XFCE edition but it will not be so fast with your CPU

thanks for the suggestion, actually I tried parrot (dual boot with windows 10) and it worked fine, I didn’t face any problems
