After tinkering with Open-Vm-tools and VMware Tools, I discovered I could no longer open Synaptic Package Manager from anywhere (Brisk Menu, Faves, top panel) besides terminal. I’ve tried changing execution/ownership of synaptic.desktop, uninstall/reinstall, clearing caches, restarting, etc etc., I am not arriving at a resolution following multiple hours of troubleshooting! Please Help!
