Synaptic: Only Opens from Terminal

After tinkering with Open-Vm-tools and VMware Tools, I discovered I could no longer open Synaptic Package Manager from anywhere (Brisk Menu, Faves, top panel) besides terminal. I’ve tried changing execution/ownership of synaptic.desktop, uninstall/reinstall, clearing caches, restarting, etc etc., I am not arriving at a resolution following multiple hours of troubleshooting! Please Help!

click on Synaptic from Brisk Menu get below Messages Output, click on Synaptic from Top Panel get spinning wheel and nothing.

Operating System: Parrot GNU/Linux 4.6
Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-parrot4-28t-amd64
