Briefly describe your issue below:

I have just installed the latest version of Parrot…all updates.

I have a WD external hard drive (NTFS Format) and when I go to the file manager Parrot can’t see it.

I can’t reformat it as it’s full of content.

Do I need to install something? Is there a way to make it work?

I’m new to linux so I don’t know where to go from here.

What version of Parrot are you running? (include version, edition, and architecture) old i7, 250 gig HDD…latest version of parrot

What method did you use to install Parrot? (Debian Standard / Debian GTK / parrot-experimental) Standard

Configured to multiboot with other systems? (yes / no) No

what does sudo fdisk -l show ?

Yep following up on g0rbes, you will need to mount the drive.
To do that:
In your terminal type
sudo fdisk -l | grep NTFS
that should show the drive and its location (will be /dev/ ‘something’).
Then create a mount directory
sudo mkdir /mnt/ntfsdrive
Then mount the drive (replace the ‘something’ so that it matches the output of the first command).
sudo mount -t ntfs /dev/'something' /mnt/ntfsdrive

If that confuses you just show us your output of sudo fdisk -l | grep NTFS or just sudo fdisk -l
