Wifi Disabled after new install

Briefly describe your issue below:

Wifi is disabled after install and updates done with wifi then after re-boot no wifi and it is greyed out in drop down from top menu. Run RFKIll and RFKill List shows HARD BLOCKED: YES but no wifi switch to enable aeroplane mode enabled by FN +F12 key on HP laptop. Never had this preoblem with earlier versions of Parrot OS and correct drivers for the wifi card installed.

What version of Parrot are you running? (include version, edition, and architecture)

What method did you use to install Parrot? (Debian Standard / Debian GTK / parrot-experimental) Debian Standard

Configured to multiboot with other systems? (yes / no) NO multiboot

Fixed my problem

OK so as I have nvidia video had to insert acpi=off in grub. This is the problem when wifi becomes hard blocked.

FIX = change the “acpi=off” to acpi_osi= (with nothing after the = sign then save and update grub and wifi switched its self back on and reconnects to the network.

Info found on an Ubuntu page I had saved but not got round to investigating so I hope this might help someone else.

Thanks for taking time to look at this
