Yellow Tint going on and off

the yellow tint due just started going on and off suddenly. i restarted and it solved the issue but do wanna know why it happened.
also is there a way to resolve it.

this is the info section of that bulb icon. even though i disabled it and also pressed quit it still kept showing up.
any help regarding this please?

Hi. Go ahead and uninstall redshift and redshift-gtk. It is supposed to darken or lighten the screen based on local time.

sudo apt purge redshift redshift-gtk
