Anonsurf Issues

Hi I have Installed Parrot OS 3.10 , Kernal Linux 4.13.0-parrot10-amd64 x86_64
And I have a issue with Anonsurf, once i connect, it says the following:

(code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)

I have uninstalled and reinstalled anonsurf, but still no luck. Its the first time i have had a issue with anonsurf.
I have read online its a issue to resolve DNS names?

Can someone shine a light with this issue please?
I have done anonsurf status, results of the status below:

Re: Anonsurf Issues

Just  a update, the anonsurf version is 2.5 also it does seem that internet data in anonsurf is going in and out, as can ping but only as a IP, not a address?
it looks like it cant resolve DNS names? also when i use Tor browser, while anonsurf is off, tor works fine
Has anyone had the same issue?

Hope you  guys can help :-)

Re: Anonsurf Issues

I am using an earlier version of Parrot but as far as I can see torrc (Tor config) should be set to RunAsDaemon = 1.
You can also try 'sudo iptables -nvL' to give a clear indicator of what is going in and out through which assigned ports in the preset iptables policy.

I have been able to get anonsurf running, but the version of Parrotsec I am using lacks Tor Browser.

Re: Anonsurf Issues

Hello hibiscus
Thank you for your message :-)
I have had a look at the torrc file, and as you said the "=" was missing in the line RunAsDaemon = 1, so i have done that, saved it. then i tested anonsurf, still nothing.
While  anonsurf was running, i did sudo iptables -nvL , like you said, and got the following results:

Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT 363 packets, 30192 bytes)
pkts bytes target     prot opt in     out     source               destination

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes)
