Thank you for any ideas

Ah, I actually just submitted a topic about this! Got approved, now. :upside_down_face:

The fix for the build failure mentioned in your log is located in the following topic (and, in particular, this specific comment):

That is, to at least clear the issue so that the upgrade can complete, do this to remove the package:

sudo apt purge realtek-rtl8188eus-dkms

If nothing else happens when that completes, go ahead and run parrot-upgrade in case anything else needs to be done:

sudo parrot-upgrade

I’m not sure what’s up with your fans/potential overheating, but maybe it’s just unhappy about the failed build. If it hasn’t been restarted, yet, or properly reconnected everything post-update (spit-balling, here), perhaps the fans are just locked to max until whatever normally controls them…controls them, again.

Hi Pal!
I think Computers have some sort of issue with the newer kernel.

Read this Blog Linux Kernel 5.19.12 bug could damage Intel laptop displays

Wait and see until the devs solve this, until you can boot it into 5.18 kernel on startup in Advanced options for Parrot
Hope this will help!

Now I have the same issue!

PC overheating and fans go frrrr…

:sob:

Returned system to 5.18 kernel and reduced global warming significantly.
Just hope some wider testing is done prior to releases.
