After the most recent update I did today now I have apps randomly locking up, of course given enough time they become usable again, but considering I didn’t have this issue before it is annoying as I know I have enough hardware to support everything.
What version of Parrot are you running? (include version (e.g. 4.6), edition(e.g. Home//KDE/OVA, etc.), and architecture (currently we only support amd64)

What processes are freezing/using most resources in this time?
You might need to hold ctrl+alt+f keys to get into a terminal if screen is completely unusable. There are numerous things that may cause this. You might find clues in /var/log or /home/user/.xsession-errors
I think it may have something to do with Mate, my entire system was designed for XDE Plasma then all of a sudden after upgrade it switched to Mate and I dont know why. I’m looking at the logs and none of the resources are being over utilized or anything. I’ll take a look at .xsession-errors though and see if something is there as well.
