In parrot repository, https://deb.parrot.sh/parrot rolling main, there is no DEP-11 components directory and subsequent metadata files required for appstream. As a result app “stores” like Gnome Software or Kde Discover can not search or list packages and other appstream services fails. Is there any workaround or is there any parrot specific solution to appstream? Parrot home is a good operating system for normal use, and lack of store support will make it difficult in this scenario.
Debian unstable has DEP-11 support. Can this repo or its component.yml file be used without breaking system? So far it works but haven’t tested as much required.
