Can't change Default Browser

I have reinstalled Parrot Security OS and downloaded Google Chrome with Firefox and installed, but whenever I click a link, it opens that in Firefox, and in Preferred Applications there is no option for selecting Google Chrome as you can see in the image below: https://prnt.sc/ne4hd2
But it was fine before the reinstallation.
And update-alternatives configuration seems to be ok too

┌─[✗]─[zihad@parrot]─[~]
└──╼ $update-alternatives --config x-www-browser
There are 3 choices for the alternative x-www-browser (providing /usr/bin/x-www-browser).

  Selection Path Priority Status
------------------------------------------------------------
* 0            /usr/bin/google-chrome-stable   200       auto mode
  1 /usr/bin/firefox 70 manual mode
  2 /usr/bin/google-chrome-stable 200 manual mode
  3 /usr/bin/xlinks2

What version of Parrot are you running?
Result from uname -a: Linux parrot 4.19.0-parrot3-28t-amd64 #1 SMP Parrot 4.19.28-2parrot3.28t (2019-04-14) x86_64 GNU/Linux

What method did you use to install Parrot?

Firefox was bad some days ago but now its better than ever from Chrome

I use Firefox too, but I have been using Chrome for a long time, and it is like a habit for me, idk why.
But I use Firefox too, and I prefer Chrome as default.

All I find when I search for mate-desktop can't change default browser is Windows related stuff which I don’t want.
And same thing for Chromium and also Google Chrome’s Syncing with my Google Account is very important.
Thanks

I tried that too, but what I found is the problem that apps are not available in Preferred Applications when they are not in /usr/share/applications, but I checked that and Google Chrome is there.
So, I don’t really know what is wrong here.
Should I reinstall as it was fine before reinstalling?
Thanks.

Ok, finally I fixed this.
I opened dconf Editor and then went to org/mate/desktop/applications/browser/exec and turned Use default value off and also changed Custom value to google-chrome then next time I opened Preferred Applications, Google Chrome was in the browsers list
Thank you all.
