Can't change the brightness !

My issue is that I can’t change brightness using shortcuts or the slider in power
management . The only way i can change the brightness is
xrandr --output DP-4 --brightness 1

This is very inconvenient. Is there any other way to fix this issue?
I have proprietary NVIDIA graphics drivers installed
