Establishing wifi

Briefly describe your issue below:
Hello my name is Sami. I just installed parrot OS and I can’t seem to connect to my home wifi. What can I do to resolve this?
When I go to system>preferences>internet and network>advanced network configuration> I added my WiFi network with the SSID and WPA password and clicked save. But I don’t think it’s trying to connect. On the network connections screen it says “last used never”. I have limited knowledge of how to use the terminal. Consider me brand new to this whole situation. I’m in a little over my head but we all have to be complete noobs someday at something. If anyone could help me and explain it in a way even I could understand that would be absolutely fantastic. Thank you
What version of Parrot are you running?
Parrot home 4.9.1

What method did you use to install Parrot?
I made a bootable USB and partitioned space on my windows PC to run both.

Configured to multiboot with other systems? (yes / no) yes windows 10

Welcome to the ParrotOS Community :hugs:

Run sudo dnstool static opennic or sudo dnstool static 8.8.8.8 in a terminal and then try if the internet works or not.
