Extending Reach Of USB Mini Wifi Card: Soldering?

I have a mini USB dongle with a decent chip for packet injection/monitor mode etc. I want to extend the reach of it. It does not have the embedded antenna to solder onto. Instead, it has a ceramic ‘chip’ antenna like this blue one seen here:

So I was wondering does anyone think directly soldering a wifi antenna scrapped from my array of old laptops would help extend the reach? Does anyone have any suggestions for this mini USB wifi card mods with ceramic chips?

i dont know what exactly specs has this ceramic antenna, but it should be possible to gain up signal strenge with an iron and a new nice antenna. :wink:
