Hashcat: unable to execute command "ld" not found

I’m trying to crack some hashes using hashcat as a tutorial guide from here; however, i’m running into two oddities:
the first I screenshot above and am running into an executable issue with hashcat

The other I’m unable to run the command without --session=somethingDifferentEachTime

I’m wondering if anyone has encountered these before and knows ways forward

you know that hashcat needs a powerfull cpu or gpu?
not a virtualbox vm …

take real hardware (with a good gpu or more) and a good wordlist (darkc0de, rockyou,… ) and then read the manpage from hashcat or look at tutos like THIS for example.

Next time tell us WHICH PARROT VERSION ARE YOU USING first.

I’ve been able to use hashcat successfully before on VMs using the CPU, the device is found easily
