you could try a lightweight browser or a text only-based browser, something like Linx or Dillo

Cool! I run Linux on my two ancient netbooks (Intel Atom N270, 1.60 GHz). I run the light-weight GUI browser Falkon on them.

Lynx installs and runs on the latest Parrot 6, at least the x64 version
