How do I tell if I have the original 5.0 electro ara installed and not a sudo parrot-upgrade version?

I installed parrot os around the time of the 5.0 electro ara release, but I’ve certainly run the sudo parrot-upgrade command since then.

How do I tell if I have the original version or not?

My understanding is that it makes a difference for file structure and forthcoming updates/apps.

  • Parrot version in use (if you are not aware of it, open terminal and type cat /etc/os-release | grep VERSION):

  • Kernel version (if you are not aware of it, open terminal and type uname -r):

  • Logs/Terminal output (use pastebin or similar services):
