Briefly describe your issue below:
More of a question but how does the updater get triggered and can I change the settings?
after install we get a popup check for updates - how can I access this?
**What version of Parrot are you running? Parrot Security 4.5.1, X64
What method did you use to install Parrot? (Debian GTK)
Configured to multiboot with other systems? (no)

How it currently works is:
-
Starts at boot (Check ‘Startup Spplications’ for ‘System Updater’)
-
Checks if the script has updated the system in the last 7 days. If it has, it exits. If not, it will popup telling you to check for updates.
You can see the script here https://nest.parrotsec.org/parrot-packages/parrot-updater/blob/master/update-reminder.sh or on your system in /usr/bin/update-reminder
I can help explain how the script works if you want to modify it.
