How to Change the priority of the editor from nano to codium in Parrot OS?

I want to change the priority and default editor as codium from nano. I know its been answered in different scenarios I have tried all possibilities but sadly none worked for me could you please help me with this. Below is the editor configuration. Eventhough I selected the priority my priorities are not getting changed as per my requirement.

sudo update-alternatives --config editor
There are 4 choices for the alternative editor (providing /usr/bin/editor).

  Selection    Path               Priority   Status
------------------------------------------------------------
  0            /bin/nano           40        auto mode
  1            /bin/nano           40        manual mode
* 2            /usr/bin/codium     0         manual mode
  3            /usr/bin/nvim       30        manual mode
  4            /usr/bin/vim.tiny   15        manual mode

Press <enter> to keep the current choice[*], or type selection number: 2

You have to edit it in desktop environment. It’s called Default apps in XFCE. I don’t remember what’s it in Mate or KDE.
