Finally, I just want a fully functional ParrotOS 6 HTB edition install. So, I’m working towards it. Hopefully you can help me with this information. Maybe a clean install guide, i don’t know.

You need to increase the size of the virtual disk you are using for Parrot.

When the Virtual machine is powered off, in the VMWare settings for it, increase the size of the virtual disk.

Next, boot the virtual disk, and then in the partition manager, increase the Parrot disk to take up all of the now extra available space.

Now you can upgrade without running out of space…

(picture 3) You see that I have granted 60GB of disk space pre-installation. A Parrot-OS is not supposed to occupy that much disk space on my drive, or simply it is not something economical for me.

Is it possible for you to provide screenshots or other matters for the partition manager process?

Hi @cocobabayaga

I use Parrot Security on a 30 GB virtual hard drive. Mind you I haven’t installed and updated much more than the full Security suite (3319 total packages installed) and haven’t downloaded any thing extra like Greenbone Security feeds.

In picture 3, you are showing your /run directory has 20.1 GB in it. That is abnormal. Check that location for the issue.

Hello, I am just now downloading ParrotOS and am wondering how i would go about checking Checksums before install. Iam downloading the HTB Version.

Hi… I used this great resource provided in documentation :

alternatively on windows go to command prompt :

certutil -hashfile <name of filr .iso> MD5
 * else you can drag and drop the file in the command prompt window ..enter
Now compare the result with one provided by Parrot
