Hi all,
I am using parrot security OS and installed it today only. I think there is some issue with bios, whenever I shut down the system it restarts after 3 seconds. I tried to shutdown using shutdown -h now too, same thing is happening.
How can I solve this issue? I am using HP proook 4440s laptop.
I dont understand is your new laptop not working with the Parrot OS ? or did you not install the OS on your VM correctly ?

I am not using VM, my laptop only has Parrot OS. I installed it yesterday, but after that when I shut down my laptop it automatically restarts. I am not able to shut it down.
I guess it is some issues with grub-pc or BIOS settings. But am not sure.
Well in my case i would recommend using Parrot OS on a virtual machine to have a smooth installation. Yes the BIOS settings is where you need to make changes to make sure your installation goes smoothly. That is what i needed to do when i got a new workstation.
