Was facing an issue with my Acer Aspire 3 (2019) where it refused to boot Parrot Security OS
(freezing when starting the installer).
I did some research online and it was apparently due to the NVME interface of the SSD.
To fix this, you must modify the grub command lines to replace quiet splash with
quiet splash nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=5500
