Lenovo Ideapad 3 Touchpad not working

I’ve installed Parrot Os Home Edition on Ideapad 3 14IIL05, but touchpad is not being detected. I’ve tried all possible issue fixes like below.

. Updating grub “i8042.nopnp=1 pci=nocrs” to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT, is not loading OS.

Welcome to the forums
Lenovo are infamous for these types of problems, this is listed as one possible fix.

  • Login asroot
  • Edit file /etc/default/grub
  • Replace line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="pci=nocrs quiet splash"
  • Save file /etc/default/grub
  • Execute update-grub
  • Reboot

Thanks for the steps @Brickwizard. I’ve tried above, but after reboot it’s not loading OS, getting below error.

Just an update : I’ve tried with Ubuntu 22.04, touchpad is working by adding “pci=nocrs” but the same is not working on Parrot OS, is there any change required specific to Parrot OS to fix this?

Bumping the thread for help! Still having the same issue.

Sorry not been around for a few days
now, this may or may not work, but worth a try. [won’t work with VM]
with laptop turned on, SAVE any work
press and hold power button down for a full minute
then re-boot
