Macbook air - battery draining fast + overheating

On mac OSX my battery life lasted 7 hours on Parrot OS is 3 hours. Macbook air also gets hot very easily on Parrot. While on OSX barely did.

– Debian Standard

– Single boot parrot OS

Update: To reduce the issue. Switch off your DIS (discrete) GPU and Use TLP and ThermalD(read here for more) Had more battery power and less heating from mac.

Its better overall not to install Linux on mac models 2015 and later. No battery & heating issue on my 2011 mac book pro. But not so well on my mac book air 2017.
