missing filesystem.squashfs during installation of home edition.

— I’m attempting to install the latest version of the home edition from a live USB, but I am running into an error during installation informing me that /run/live/medium/live/filesystem.squashfs is missing. I don’t know what to do about this. I’ve gone through all the steps from the Install Parrot wizard, several times, running into this error each time. If I check that directory, it seems that medium is empty. What should I do to proceed?

  • ParrotOS iso in use:
5.1.2 Electro Ara - Home Edition

  • Application used for flashing the iso:
    Rufus

  • Logs/Terminal output:
    Bad unsquash configuration

The source filesystem “/run/live/medium/live/filesystem.squashfs” does not exist

Hi! Read our documentation and do not use Rufus. How to create a Parrot USB drive | ParrotOS Documentation

Welcome to the forums
Rufus has not been playing well with any Linux distribution for over a year, I recommend you try Balena Etcher
